Route 1 Farms is a longtime fixture in the evolving land movement towards small scale and ecologically based agriculture on the Central Coast of California. The farm has grown high quality, CCOF certified organic produce, fruit, flowers and herbs for over twenty years. Produce is sold at farmer's markets, through the CSA, at local restaurants and wholesale.

Jeff and his crew are stewards of 65 acres of beautiful, choice Santa Cruz coastal valley farmland, including fields at Rancho del Oso, along Waddell Creek on the North Coast, as well as Ocean St. Extension, at the rural/urban fringe along the San Lorenzo River.

From humble beginnings, Route 1 has grown to meet the demands of the Santa Cruz community without sacrificing the ideals of beauty, efficiency, environmental stewardship and productivity. (more...)

  • The whole Route 1 crew took a much needed rest for the holidays and are back and ready for the 2012 season. The CSA started January 10th and will go until April 10th. It's not too late! You can always sign up mid-season and we will prorate the cost. An individual share is $15/week and a family sized share is $25/week. Pick up day is Tuesday. We are trying to set up a pick up downtown for those who live and work there. Please call or email us if you are interested or have any questions.
