The Rutland Area Farm & Food Link supports the growth of a thriving agricultural system that connects farms, local communities and consumers in Rutland County, Vermont. We are a non-profit directed and supported by a diverse range of farmers, community members and agricultural support agencies.
RAFFL aims to provide a knowledgeable, clearly articulated vision for a sustainable regional food system. As such we will enable local producers to meet the community├ó┬?┬?s increasing demand for safe, fresh, locally grown foods and ancillary agricultural products. We seek to establish distribution networks and a processing infrastructure to meet regional needs. We must insure that production capacity is available to meet increasing market demand. With this we seek to locate and nurture local gatekeepers who will perpetuate community pride and conservation for the working landscape.
2008 Local Exposure Calendar Now Available!
Local farmers have bared their souls and a sizeable portion of their anatomies to promote agriculture in the Rutland region of Vermont. The 2008 Local Exposure calendar is artistically beautiful and artistically cheeky, filled with poses by local farmers who want you to learn more about local agriculture, information on local farmers' markets, and facts about the food we eat each day.
