Sage Flower Gardens is full of flower gardens, herb gardens, and lots of fresh vegetables in season, but I specialize in Angora goats. I started out with 5 kids thirteen years ago, and have expanded to 16 goats. I sell does and wethers, well-skirted raw mohair fleece, washed locks, rovings, and yarn from the beautiful, shiny mohair fiber. Hand spinners and weavers love the fiber I produce. Also, many crafters use the beautifully-dyed locks for needle felting, doll hair, and Santa beards.
My goats thrive on 5 acres in Emmett, Idaho on lush pasture, as well as brush and tree limbs pruned from other parts of the property, and garden produce. They are very generous with their mohair, and each one has its own special personality.
Homegrown--Handspun Happy goats make healthy mohair!
I sell skirted fleeces, locks, rovings and yarn direct to fiber artists through a local spinners and weavers group and through fiber fairs. I sell goats through local and word-of-mouth advertising. In 2014, I am going to be at Snake River Fiber Fair in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
