Samascott Orchards is a family owned and operated farm that was started in the early 1900's. In its early days, the farm was like most other farms of its time. Many crops were grown, but dairy products and caring for dairy cows were the main focus.

During the period from the 1940's through the early 1960's, the second generation owner, Oliver Samascott, increased the size of the farm from its original 180 acres to our present 1,000 acres. Much of this newly purchased land had existing apple orchards and by 1970 the focus of the farm shifted from dairy to apples.

With our newly purchased land, our apple crop grew significantly in size which gave way to the introduction of pick-your-own in the early 1960's. At (more...)

Our farm is open seasonally (approximately June - October) for pick-your-own fruits and vegetables. We also fresh-press apple cider weekly, make homemade baked goods including pies, muffins and apple cider donuts and gather free-range eggs daily.
