We practice organic and sustainable farming methods. Our animals are pastured and grass fed and allowed to do what comes naturally to them. Our heritage pigs do not have their tails docked or rings put in their noses. This allows them to forage for roots, grass and clover. By not cutting the tips of our heritage chickens beaks, they can forage for seeds, bugs, and grasses. This gives the yolks a nice orange color. Being out on pasture also allows our chickens to dust bathe which keeps them healthy and cool.
