We are a member-initiated CSA, founded in 2002, serving suburban Washington DC, MD and VA. Our mission is to connect DC metro area eaters with local, organic farmers. We partner with Lancaster Farm Fresh Cooperative (LFFC), a non profit organic farmers cooperative of over 80 farms in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. LFFC focuses on creating healthy high quality foods from highly maintained and enriched soils on small scale family farms. The produce sold through LFFC is certified organic unless otherwise noted. They also support local farms that use Integrated Pest Management (I.P.M.) techniques. We are now taking applications for the 2012 Spring/Summer season, which begins the week of May 7 and runs through the week of Oct 22.
