Don't be fooled by the imported products that read 100% Alpaca. Many other countries only require a percentage of the product to be Alpaca to label it 100%. In the United States you can be assured our products are what we say are their makeup and we are creating jobs for other Americans at a fair wage.
Remember many other countries use employees at sub standard wages. I try to get my products all produced in the United States where control of quality and working conditions are possible. Support your fellow Americans.
We have a small herd of Huacaya Alpacas and harvest their fiber every spring. I choose the finest fleeces and have them spun into yarn at a mini mill in Minnesota. The fiber is spun into sport, lace, or 3ply worsted 100% alpaca yarns. There is never any dyes or other wools added to the yarn. I have various colors and the yarn is sold in 300 yard balls with center pull. I have some finished alpaca products produced in Fall River Massachusetts. They only process American raised alpaca fiber. These products are not made only from my fiber as they produced in batches of about 500 pounds.
