75 days. Open polinated. Medium tall, bushy plants get just loaded with 2" long, thin peppers. Looks like a thinner version of a jalapeno, but packs considerably more heat. Start green and ripen to red. These are used extensively in Mexican cuisine. Good in salsas, pickled, and in sauces. An excellent producer for us every year no matter the weather. Germinated at 88%.
|Lifecycle:||1 (0: N/A, 1: annual, 2: perennial, 3: biennial)|
|Soil:||Adaptable. Peppers need a high quality nitrogen source, like composted chicken manure or alfalfa meal, to set lots of peppers.|
|Propagation / Germination:||Start seeds indoors 7 to 8 weeks before last frost. Keep soil very lightly moist, not wet! 80 degrees is optimum, but anywhere from 70 to 90 degrees will work okay.|
|Water:||Water weekly if necessary.|
