Seven Sisters Farm is located near the Salt Fork River in eastern Champaign county. The farm was homesteaded in the mid 1800s, and the native brick farmhouse was completed in 1895. We raise Leicester Longwool sheep for wool and meat. Leicesters were quite common until the beginning of the 20th century, but they are now classified as rare worldwide.
I spin our sheep's wool and sell finished yarns, both natural colors and dyed, as well as washed and carded roving and raw fleece. We also raise heritage breed chickens for eggs and meat, and we sell vegetables, pears, and wild black raspberries and blackberries when they are in season.
