At Shawdowchase Farm we raise grass-finished beef from birth to harvest here on our farm. We bring no finshing animals into our herd. We use no growth hormones or fed antibiotics. Our cows are primarily Angus ,bred with Gelbvieh bulls. We practice rotational grazing methods with our farm divided into 17 separate paddocks. We select our finishing animals from our herd at weaning (8- 12 months of age). They are placed into our finishing herd where they have access to the choicest forage on the farm. They are supplemented with kelp meal and natural wormers. We plant summer and winter annual grasses so that they have prime grazing 9 months of the year. Winter feed is hay cut from planted alfalfa fields here on our farm.Animals are harvested between 20-24 months of age when they are fully developed. All our products are USDA inspected and sold by the pound, whole ,half, split half, or individual cuts.We also sell 20lb and 40lb family packs. We welcome farm tours for individuals or groups, as all of our methods and practices are open for inspection ,and we would love to show you what we do and how we do it.

We have been buying our grass-finished beef from the Mossers for about a year now and they've made it incredibly easy to place an order. The beef comes packaged nicely in a thick plastic, perfect for storing, and the taste is unlike any kind of store bought meat.
