Shadowood Farm, Inc.

Shadowood Farm, Inc. of Palm City, FL switched gears from growing Native plants and ornamentals, to providing people with a place to grow their own organic foods. We also offer retail sales for organic vegetable starter plants, seeds, and other organic growing supplies for home gardeners.

The Shadowood Organic Food Garden opened in October of 2010 and the response has been wonderful. Our Gardeners all share the desire to learn how to produce their own fresh, organic food and come to the farm to be active participants. This season, the growing experience is shared by people in a hands-on environment, with various "how to" workshops, supervised hours and weekly newsletters.

We offer three different sizes of garden plots. The small plots are 6' x 12' and the large plots are either 12' x12' or 6' x 24'. The spaces are filled with wonderfully rich soil and all have automatic mist irrigation. There is a one time set up fee and a monthly rental fee. (Other fees apply for maintenance and delivery.)Each gardener gets to decide what they want to grow and learn how to grow it. All seeds and starts must be Non-GMO and only approved OMRI rated products may be used for pest and fungal issues.

Our 76 garden spaces are currently full for this 2013/14 season, but we placing names on our waiting list for spaces that may open up in January. Registration for the 2014/15 season begins in March of 2014 and space planning happens in April of 2014, so don't delay in making contact with us.
