Shaladawn Farm offers veal and freezer beef by the whole or half carcass in late spring and late fall. The calves are raised as close to nature's way as possible at this time, and we continuously persue new ways to improve the "naturalness" of our operation. The calves are fed almost entirely on mothers milk from nurse cows and grass/hay prior to finishing, and then grass-finished in the spring and fall. A kelp/salt/DE supplement is available throughout the growth process. Feed antibiotics and hormones are not used at any time. The pastures are not treated with chemical fertilizers. The cows, together with high-density strip grazing are our primary tool for pasture production and improvement.
