SHAREcropper's Farm is a small "farmette" in Upstate SC with naturally grown heirloom vegetables, herbs and flowers, and also fresh eggs. We have a 20 week long CSA harvest period during the spring - summer and a 10 week long fall harvest period. Weather permitting (this IS local food you know) there are weekly baskets of fresh produce sold on a limited basis throughout the winter months. We use only sustainable farming practices such as cover cropping and insectories, companion planting, and only OMRI pesticides when needed. Chickens and goats nourish our soils as well as help us keep weeds down. Ninety-five per cent of our crops are heirloom vegetables, which have a much richer flavor than hybrids. We (more...)

  • Spartanburg's first CSA is now taking memberships for the 2012 SPRING-SUMMER hopefully mid April, weather permitting. This will be our fourth year marketing through the CSA and we have thoroughly enjoyed bringing fresh food to the shareholder's tables.The price for the 20 week spring-summer harvest is $650 for a full share (half bushel basket plus dozen eggs) and the 20 week half share is $375. A deposit is due to hold your spot with remainder due before first harvest.
