Shared Harvest Community Garden is a garden cooperative with 65 household members since 2001. Dues are $70 per year (2011). Members cultivate one acre of bottom land in the Florida River Valley at 7,000 ft elevation.
The food produced primarily goes to our dues paying however we sell food near the end of the season and donate food to charities. We are not certified organic but do cultivate with a rich compost free of herbicides and pesticides. We also substantially support the local honey bee population by planting an abundance of flowers.
