SHEPHERDS Dairy is positioned in a unique and amazing place. We are nestled in the shadow of Utah's Oquirrh Mountains (part of the Rockies) transitioning to the fertile Tooele Valley just South of the Great Salt Lake. Our location provides ideal weather for growing superb feed and healthy, happy goats. Our weather brings us clear mountain air from the South or brisk fresh air off the lake to the North. Vaughn Oborn, owner of SHEPHERDS, has over 20 years dairy and dairy industry experience. As a master cheesemaker, he chose this location and designed the building and equipment with quality cheese as his focus. Here at SHEPHERDS, we go to great lengths to assure that only the finest quality cheeses are produced for our customers. We have developed a make protocol that blends the handcrafted art of Old World cheese making with the state of the art equipment and sanitation innovations of the New World. All of our cheeses are handcrafted in small batches following the strictest guidelines, using only the best Grade A Goats milk.
