Shlagel Farms is a small diversified family farm operated by Russ and Eileen Shlagel and our 5 children. We are conventional farmers and we employ Best Management Practices to include Integrated Pest Management and a Nutrient Management System. We follow the most current University recommendations to keep our crop protectant use to a minimum. This is better for our environment and provides a wholesome, safe product for our customers, our neighbors and our family.

We start off our season in early May with pick your own strawberries and beautiful greenhouse grown hanging baskets and bedding plants. We do accept school and group tours during the berry season. Please call to schedule.

After berries we move into seasonal vegetables which we offer for sale at multiple farmers markets, and at the farm on Saturdays. (more...)
