We have fattened, butchered and eaten our own Gelbvieh beef, and in our opinion, there is none better. The carcasses have graded very well, and have just the right amount of fat encasing the meat and are marbled throughout to insure just the right amount of juiciness without waste or cholesterol overload.

Silver Glen Ranch raises all natural beef. We do not use antibiotics on our cattle. Our cattle are also hormone free. Our cattle are turned out to pasture, except during calving time Feb.- April, which they are turned out on Wheat pasture shortly after parturition. When it is time for the cattle to be fattened they are fed with grain until they reach an estimated weight.
Once butchered, our cattle are aged naturally in cold lockers, then processed and packaged. Our beef is never packaged before it has been naturally aged and cured to insure tenderness and fullness of flavor. The result is mouth-watering succulent beef that cooks, smells and tastes like a steak, roast, or burger should.
