A silverskin garlic that is great for braiding! This one won't disappoint!
Your order is protected with the LocalHarvest money back guarantee.
Silverskin garlics are the last garlics to mature each season, and they store the longest. Wrappers are tight and creamy white. This is a great garlic for braiding!
When grown in northern (cooler) temperatures, Silver White can have quite a bite when eaten raw. It's a lot mellower when cooked.
I am Certified Naturally Grown and use good, clean, organic practices in my gardening.
Bulbs will be at least 1.25" across or larger.
Please keep your garlic stored in an airy, not too cold, not too warm spot until ready for planting. Mesh or paper bags are best. Do not store in plastic or they will mold! Do not break apart the bulbs until you are ready to plant because doing so will either cause the individual cloves to dry out or it may inducing sprouting.
Plant the biggest cloves to get the biggest bulbs next year. Eat the rest and enjoy!
Garlic will be shipped within a few days of receiving your order. Shipping is M-F only.
PLEASE CONTACT ME if you'd like to place a custom order, ask me any questions, or IF the shipping charges don't seem in line with what you are ordering.
If you're buying garlic now, consider it for planting purposes only since some of the cloves may have already sprouted internally. Still can be planted in zone 7 or warmer for a 2015 harvest!
Can still be used for eating, but you will need to slice open each clove and remove the bitter sprout.
Sometimes the shipping costs seem too high. If you order multiple items and the shipping costs don\'t make sense, BEFORE placing your online order, PLEASE CONTACT ME directly so I can adjust the shipping to the exact charges.
I can also be contacted for CUSTOM ORDERS or to place orders in advance of my online sales.
While I try to keep costs down, shipping Elephant Garlic (which can weigh about 1# per bulb) plus the size of each bulb, requires the medium or large one-rate Priority Mail box at $11-$16. Your best bet is a larger order so the shipping doesn\'t seem so high in comparison. USPS.com has set the rates, not me :-(
