Singletary Farm Goods is operated by the Boardman family, William, Jen, Riley, and Leo. We lease the farm land from Jen's parents, it has been in the family for nearly 100 years. The first Singletary to farm the land was Jen's great grandfather Carl Singletary. The farm is located on the south end of McMinnville on Singletary Lane.
We produce vegetables and some berries. We grow all the crops without the use of any pesticides, herbicides, and definitely no GMO's. The farm is not certified organic. In the future we would like to be certified, but for now we are trying to get all our practices and procedures worked out before we incur the extra costs associated with certification. Regardless of other opinions, I think always looking for food that is certified organic is the simplest thing you can do when purchasing to try and assure you are making good food choices. Ideally you should find a farmer/producer that is local to you and willing to explain or show how they farm/produce and see if it fits your personal beliefs.
