Sister Sage Herb Farm CSA provides sustainably grown, medicinal quality natural remedies for families, professionals and herb enthusiasts. All of the herbs are grown with love and care (and no pesticides or synthetic fertilizers) on Vashon Island, Washington and processed into herbal products in small batches by farmer and owner Jayne Simmons. I am willing to work closely to help you formulate your own special blends that work for you and your family, or for your business.
Share plans: These subscriptions include visits to Sister Sage Herb Farm to interact with the plants in the field; instructions on how to prepare the herbs, some information on their usefulness, as well as planting & harvest day celebrations. "Medicine Maker's Share" which provides fresh & dried organic medicinal herbs on a monthly basis from June through October. "Gardener's Share" create a custom landscape that provides food and medicine for your family year round. I provide the plants and design if you want, and you do the planting.
Any of these shares can be increased to provide herbs for your business' needs.
Education: You can learn about the growing, harvesting and preparation the herbs, and learn how to process them for use in medicine and everyday uses. Jayne teaches classes in herbal remedy making around Seattle and the farm is a host site for Herbal Science students from Bastyr University.
