Small Little Farm's CSA grows exclusively for its members. It strives to offer the tastiest of non-commercial vegetable varieties, including both new hybrids (non GMO) and heirlooms, grown as organically as possible. The farm's horses provide the soil amendments and organic approved pesticides are used only as a last resort if necessary to save a crop. The farm's pastured chickens are heritage breeds and non-commercial breeds, providing the fresh eggs included in the weekly share. The atmosphere is relaxed, slow-paced and peaceful. Member families are welcome to participate in the planting, tending or harvesting of their food to enjoy nature's atmosphere, even if only for a half hour during the entire season, but this is not required. Members are also welcome to just come and sit and watch the plants grow for a while, or visit and show children where their food comes from. Children may "adopt" a plant (plant labels will identify these special plants) and help with planting or harvesting of its fruit at the proper time.

Members may request one custom vegetable (type or variety) be grown specially for them, provided it can be grown in this planting zone and harvested within the 18 week share period.

A small periodic email newsletter talks about progress in the vegetable plots and offers selected recipes for using the vegetables.

The weekly vegetable share is sized for what a family of four might consume during a week of the vegetables offered, but shares may exceed this level during main harvest periods. Members are encouraged to share, freeze or can any excess. Each weekly share also includes one dozen fresh eggs.

Weekly shares are picked up at the farm. Members must provide 2 coolers (medium or large size), 2 reusable grocery totes, and 4 re-freezable cold packs for packing of their weekly shares. One set will be at the farm for packing the next week's share, while one set is used to transport the share to the member's home. Members must bring back the empty set each week. Sign-ups are accepted from 1 Jan-1 Mar each year. Payment for half of the share cost ($250) is due at sign up to reserve your membership. The remaining half ($250) is due at the first week's share pick up. Payment by cash or check. Checks payable to Small Little Farm.

Feedback from members is welcome any time. At the end of the year, members are asked to fill out a feedback questionnaire. Feedback is used to improve the CSA for its members.
