Smith's Farm

Smith's Farm is a 32 acre farm and has been owned by our family for over 50 years. We value the history of our farm and buildings that represent the Pennsylvania Dutch farming heritage of the region. Inside our barn in the past, we housed cattle and pigs purchased from local farmers for processing for Spurgeon Smith and Son's Meat Market. We had close ties to the local farming community via the family business that is no longer operating.

Since autumn 2006, a local, organic crop farmer transitioned our fields to organic production. In the summer of 2009, our family started a small-scale, naturally grown produce business with a focus on heirloom varieties. This is a joint venture amongst members of our family. W (more...)
