Snell Family Farm

Snell Family Farm is a diverse retail farm, growing food, plants, and flowers for the people of Southern Maine for four generations. We sell our farm products at our farm and at Portland and Saco Farmers' Markets Wednesdays and Saturdays.

We start the season growing high quality perennial, annual, herb, vegetable, and aquatic plants.

Our vegetable season begins in July and stretches well into fall. Some of our favorite vegetable crops include tomatoes, potatoes, cucumbers, summer squash, winter squash, carrots, beets, fall greens, cauliflower, broccoli, garlic, onions, leeks, shallots, and more.

Cut Flowers begin in late April with daffodils and stretch into October with dahlias and kale. We sell mixed bouquets at farmers' Market, create lovely custom arrangements for weddings and other events, and offer custom bulk flowers for DIY brides.

We open our fields for Pick Your Own Raspberries in July and August and PYO Apples mid-September to mid-October. Apples, cider, pumpkins, gourds, seed garlic, and fall mums are also available in the fall.

Our home stand is open until Thanksgiving in the fall, and then we open up on two Saturdays a month for our "Winter Store," where we offer our winter storage crops for folks to buy from our concrete storage building. Some featured items include potatoes, carrots, beets, celeriac, leeks, onions, shallots, garlic, apples, cider, and cabbage.
