Sophia Garden, located at Homecoming Farm on the property of the Sisters of St. Dominic is a certified organic CSA (community supported agriculture) project on Long Island with members coming from Nassau and Suffolk Counties as well as Queens and New York City. We grow over 25 varieties of organic vegetables, flowers and herbs. Shares are distributed to members every week or every other week from June through October. Members work a minimum of fifteen hours a season with our growers. Members share in the exciting growing process of preparing soil, weeding, planting, turning compost, harvesting and more! It's wonderful to be part of the process of seed to plant to vegetable to table. Our members come together to celebrate the seasonal changes and to take part in other events and programs offered through our Learning Center.
