South Central Farmers' Cooperative

You are invited to participate in South Central Farmers' Community Supported Agriculture Program (CSA). The Farm is located in Buttonwillow, CA and serves most of Los Angeles and Kern County. This organization and CSA, however, is based out of South Central, Los Angeles.

It is organized and operated by the South Central Farmers' Cooperative, a grassroots economic development of the South Central Farmers' Health and Education Fund 501c(3) organization. This program was designed by those who once grew produce on the 14 acres, known as the South Central Farm (which was bulldozed in 2006), to meet the need to provide fresh, healthy grown produce to its community members.

The South Central Farmers' CSA program has expanded beyond the 14 acre piece of property located at 41st and Alameda by linking locally grown produce to all members of Los Angeles, regardless of race, ethnicity, background, and economic status. Thi (more...)
