Sow Little Farm

We are located in Madison, Wisconsin. Our raspberries are grown with no pesticides or herbicides, so they don't need washing. We harvest from the end of May through mid November. Our chef customers have told us that our berries are the best they have ever had. We grow them in high tunnels and lovely bumble bees pollinate the flowers. We sell mainly to restaurants in Madison. We also sell locally to members of our CSA and have an email list of customers whom we notify when we have extra berries. Our endeavor is unique to Wisconsin. This year we are growing 15 varities of Italian tomatoes in one of our high tunnels.

Listing last updated on Jul 28, 2010

It is almost August and one of the warmest, wettest summers. The raspberries are safe under the high tunnels, although a bit stressed by the heat. The tomatoes are 8 feet tall and still climbing.

I have both red and black raspberries on my farm, but still buy berries from Terry and Michael b/c they have different varieties, one is the best I've ever eaten, and are available longer than mine.... [more]

Terry and Michael belong in the pantheon of Madison's local food movement. They are true pioneers and their berries are extraordinary.

Since we started eating Michael and Terry's raspberries, we've simply never bought any others. Untouched by wind or rain, they're beautiful as well as delicious, and they stay fresh for an amazingly long time -- a week or more. Truly edible art.
