Miracles happen on a farm and Sparta Mountain Farm is proof of that statement. Located in Jefferson Township in Northwestern NJ, we are a small family owned and operated farm incorporating a love for animals, nature, and education into our vision. In 1998 we began operating as a tree farm selling wood as our main product. In 2002 after having half of our family members and one of our dogs contact Lyme disease we decided to raise guinea hens and ducks. Finally, in 2004, we became serious about our farm venture and purchased two pygmy goats and have increased our animal population to include a lamb, a herd of pygmy goats, llamas, alpacas, Vietnamese potbellied pigs and piglets, guinea pigs, rabbits, an assortment of ducks and ducklings, guinea hens, and over two hundred laying hens and pullets.
