We teach organic gardening, including Biodynamics and no-dig methods. Introductory classes are half-day and are hands-on. Students are taken step-by-step through the process of constructing double-dug intensive raised beds, and no-dig raised beds. Complete and simple strategies are taught for pest and disease control; weed free plantings; drip irrigation planning; fertilization; seed-starting; heirloom seed and rootstock selection; and seed saving. The aim of the class is to teach individuals to raise organic food year round with a minimum of work, and with totally sustainable ecological practices that require little or no money. Advanced classes deal with the specialized use of Biodynamic preparations; focused energy fertilization; as well a several other unique cultural methods.
