Spring mix was one of the reasons we went into market farming. In my search for great salad I found It was almost impossible to find a decent spring mix (aka mesclun) in the stores locally. Some places did sell mesclun or field greens but it tended to be wilted and tastless. Nor I could not find it locally grown. So when we started farming 14 years ago, spring mix was one of the first crops we grew for market .
Our spring mix is a tasty as it is beautiful. The baby heirllom lettuces lend both flavor and jewel-like colors to our salad. Arugula adds an aggressive zest to the mix and the other baby greens add variety of flavors and textures that keeps our regular cusomers coming back.
Unlike packaged greens bought at the store, our spring mix is fresh as can be so no worries about wilted salad. Just wash and serve
