110 days. OP. Heirloom from the Seminole Indians. Cucurbita moschata. Cultivated in the Everglades by the Seminole Indians since at least the 1500's. Now on the Raft 10 most endangered American foods list. These 3 lb. teardrop-shaped, tan squashes have a deep orange, sweet flesh that is perfect for pies, soups, and Seminole pumpkin bread. Sweeter than a butternut, the rinds are very hard and the squashes store for a long time. Well adapted to hot, humid climates. Rampant vines are bug (borer) and disease resistant. Grow a bit of history and help keep this notable squash from disappearing.

Our plants are sustainably raised in our own potting mix. We use only organic fertilizers and sprays if needed. We have been growing and selling plants since 1997.

Our squash plants are shipped in individual 3" deep pots. They are usually 6 to 10 inches tall and are ready to be planted out in your garden.

We package our plants with extreme care so they arrive undamaged at your doorstep. Each plant is tucked into its own padded sleeve. The soil in each pot is covered so it will not spill out. A plant tag identifying the variety is included with each plant.

We ship every Monday and Tuesday, from late March into June, according to your location or your request.

We currently ship to every state except Hawaii and Alaska.

We are now closed for the 2014 season. Thank you to all of our wonderful customers! We will be back in January, 2015.

We produce all of our own seed, unlike most seed sellers. We never purchase bulk seeds and repackage them. You can be sure that you are getting top quality, healthy, and vigorous seeds from us, and that they were produced by us on our small farm in healthy soil.

We are licensed by the State of Missouri Department of Agriculture to sell plants (license #1931) and seed (license #149045) produced by us. We exceed the Federal minimum germination standards and post our germination test results with each variety

Quality, beauty, flavor, fun, and responsibility!
