Date change for our FERMENTATION & CHEESE MAKING FUNDAMENTALS
Due to illness we have had to postpone our class scheduled for February 10. We are now offering the class February 17 and February 24. We hope that one of these dates will fit into your schedule. Below are the details.
FERMENTATION & CHEESE MAKING FUNDAMENTALS Fermentation has always been used for food preservation. Healthful bacteria act on vegetables and milk giving us familiar products such as sauerkraut, fresh cheeses, yogurt, creme fraiche, butter and more. The live cultures in these foods become part of the community of 100 trillion microbes that call us "home"¢?â?¦¡ and play a critical role in our overall good health. Making fresh cheeses, sauerkraut, and other fermented foods at home is surprisingly simple, and you control the ingredients. This class will present all the fundamentals. Bring an appetite and be ready to sample these great products in a variety of recipes from dips to desserts. You'll take home instructions, recipes, and a starter kit so you can get started making all yourself. Cost: $45 or $80 for two.
