Stearns Farms is a certified organic vegetable farm located at the northern tip of Conanicut Island (Jamestown), Rhode Island. Jennifer Stearns Talancy farms one acre of this historic waterfront gentleman's farm, growing approximately 30 types of vegetables and herbs, as well as flowers for cutting.
Stearns Farms Organic Produce sells at a retail farm stand located in the center of the island at East Ferry. The portable farm stand is open twice a week, Saturdays 9:00-1:00pm and Wednesdays 3-6pm, from late June until late October. Farmer Talancy also offers special flower arrangement and vegetable orders, a type of CSA (pre-pay monthly for produce guarantee and prepared for pick-up), and sells select products to restaurants and small grocers.
