Stevia rebaudiana, tender perennial, grown as an annual in all but the warmest climates in the U.S. (Southern California, Florida), Plant out well after last frost and treat the same as any herb. Keep it watered and fertilized and mulched and trimmed, and it will produce until frost. The leaves can be easily dried and added to teas for sweetening. Or powder the dry leaves and use as a sugar substitute. Just don't tell your kids about the plant, or they will eat all the leaves before you can harvest them!
Our plants are sustainably raised in our own potting mix. We use only organic fertilizers and sprays if needed. We have been growing and selling plants since 1997.
Our herb plants are shipped in individual 3" deep pots. They are well established and are ready to be planted out in your garden.
We package our plants with extreme care so they arrive undamaged at your doorstep. Each plant is tucked into its own padded sleeve. The soil in each pot is covered so it will not spill out. A plant tag identifying the variety is included with each plant.
We ship every Monday and Tuesday, from late March into June, according to your location or your request.
We currently ship to every state except Hawaii and Alaska.
We are now closed for the 2014 season. Thank you to all of our wonderful customers! We will be back in January, 2015.
We produce all of our own seed, unlike most seed sellers. We never purchase bulk seeds and repackage them. You can be sure that you are getting top quality, healthy, and vigorous seeds from us, and that they were produced by us on our small farm in healthy soil.
We are licensed by the State of Missouri Department of Agriculture to sell plants (license #1931) and seed (license #149045) produced by us. We exceed the Federal minimum germination standards and post our germination test results with each variety
