Stone Barn Veal is a small farm operation where I raise Holstein calves in small batches in my families hundred year old stone base barn. My calves have ample space and are not tied in their stalls, like old traditional methods. They have open windows that allow them to have plenty of sunshine and fresh air. I raise my calves humanely with all consideration going into providing a superior product, while maintaining the unique qualities known in Veal.
I aquire my calves typically 1 to 3 days old directly from local farmers whom I personally know. I bottle feed my calves by hand from organic milk provided from a local dairy in my area, whom I also know personally. I slowly wean them onto buckets where they drink themselves.
