Stone Bridge Farm Alpacas is a small alpaca breeding farm located in Griswold, CT which is dedicated to breeding the best fiber producing alpacas possible. We raise huacaya alpacas, the type that resembles teddy bears and are known for their fine, crimpy locks of fiber. We pride ourselves in being small enough to give each animal individual attention and care. Our farm store, which is open seasonally and on our open farm weekends, has a variety of products made from alpaca fiber. These range from hats, scarves, gloves and shawls to sweaters, blankets and throws. While some of the items are made off site, namely Peru, we are building a solid base of handknitted items from our own animals and will slowly convert to a shoppe with an inventory of all handknitted items from our animals.
