‘STONE SOUP: Pennsylvania’s Community Marketplace’, is inspired by Pennsylvania’s family farmers, producers, craftspeople, and consumers. This year-round, family-friendly, non-profit, and employee-owned cooperative, opened in State College in August 2004. We stock from Pennsylvania first to consistently provide our community with local, fresh, satisfying, and wholesome alternatives to factory food. We believe that Pennsylvanians can sustain each other—almost entirely—by rebuilding strong relationships between consumers, farmers, producers, and craftspeople. We intend to offer home delivery, as well as special ordering of PA food and nonfood products. Just east of State College and at the edge of Penn State's University Park campus, we're located directly in front of Centre Furnace Mansion.
