Stone's Throw CSA is dedicated to supporting sustainable local food systems in the Blackstone and French River Valleys of Massachusetts. Stone's Throw CSA is a multi grower CSA. Sweet Birch Farm in Douglas, Hidden Hills Farm in Oxford and Silvermine Farm in Sutton all work cooperatively with the Stone's Throw CSA Steering Committee to produce the food for our shareholders. In turn, the Stone's Throw CSA shareholders commit to work cooperatively 10 hours per season to assist with the running of Stone's Throw. This joint, cooperative venture is at the center of our CSA and the sense of community it brings to all of us is central to our existence.
All of our farmers are committed to growing fruits, vegetables and herbs using organic and ecologically-sustainable methods, without the use of synthetic pesticides or fertilizers, working in harmony with nature to control pests and diseases. Our fa
