Nu-Beginning Farm

At Nu-Beginning Farm, all of our vegetables are grown in season. We don't have huge greenhouse facilities, so everything is field grown. We do exercise organic and chemical free practices on all vegetables. Whenever possible, our bedding plants are seed grown in what greenhouse space we do have. Some varieties are initially purchased as "plugs" and transplanted and nursed by hand until the desired outcome is achieved. Our hanging baskets in the spring serve as a good example of this practice. The "plugs" come in and are then transplanted into the baskets, rather than seeding the baskets directly and experiencing seed mortality, thus ruining the whole basket. All of our baked good are prepared in a state inspected kitchen.
