We are beginning to ready the gardens for their winter slumber. The pumpkins are ripening and the indian corn is ablaze with color. Splashes of yellow, gold and orange color the landscape here on the farm as it prepares itself for autumn. We are finishing up another successful CSA season, and looking froward to providing fresh vegetables to our members next year. It's hard to believe that six years ago the seed that began our mail order business was planted. We continue to strive to improve the products we have to offer while continually thiking of new ideas. A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE HELPED US ALONG THE WAY. It is a great time for buying seeds and plants . Due to a struggling economy we are still offering free shipping on many of our seeds, and If you order 5 packets of seeds we will send you an extra packet free. We have begun digging the many plants we offer on line, and will be putting them on as they become dormant. They are hardy field grown plants grown here on the farm. We are thrilled to be a part of an ever expanding movement toward local consumption. All of the products we offer are made here on the farm. We make each order and hand dig each plant. There is no need to soak the roots like you would with most mail order plants, because they do not sit around on a warehouse shelf. The seeds we offer are from our own harvest. They are grown naturally, harvested, and air dried . We also offer many farm made products. Some of the products we offer through mail order are fudge, and soaps as well as other crafts. We grow most of the ingredients used in our products, but If we don't produce it we purchase it from local farmers who either grow naturally or organically. We do not search the world over, but instead draw from our own local farmers. We know where each and every ingredient comes from, and are certain that no chemicals are used in both the production or gathering process. Here in Sugarcreek, Ohio there are still many small family farms spread out amongst the Amish and Mennonite population. These small family farms continue to strive to put food on the their tables as well as those of their neighbors. Thank you for visiting our farm, and helping to ensure the survival of the family farm!
