The Madison Area CSA Coalition has helped southern Wisconsin households enjoy the bounty of fresh produce offered Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farms. Our nationally distributed cook book 'From Asparagus to Zucchini' has been an indispensable resource for CSA members and all people who want to make the most of their local and seasonal produce. The new and updated third edition of this book features 330 NEW recipies and 53 different vegetable and herb sections with nutritional, historical, and storage information as well as cooking tips and specific recipes - over 420 recipes in all. Best of all, the less well-known the vegetable, the more recipes there are! Beyond the produce, the 'A-Z Food Book' includes essays addressing the "larger picture" of sustainable agriculture and how our food choices fit into our economy, environment, and communities as well as information about home food preservation and helping kids appreciate (and even eat!) vegetables.
