Chesnok Red garlic

Chesnok Red is a gourmet delight. It is a purple stripe hardneck variety and one of the best cooking garlics. Highly flavorful, it has won best-baking-garlic taste tests conducted by Rodale, Sunset Magazine, Martha Stewart, and others. It holds its shape and retains flavor well when cooked. It has large, easy-to-peel cloves.

We sell this garlic to the top gourmet restaurant in our region, Restaurant Tallent in Bloomington, Indiana. (Don't miss it if you are in the area!) Chef Dave Tallent serves it as a baked garlic appetizer.

Chesnok Red is originally from Shvelisi, Republic of Georgia. The bulbs are white on the outside, 8-10 brilliant red cloves within.
