Comb Honey - Wildflower
Comb honey, also called cut comb, is honey just as the bees made it. It's cut from the frame and is not processed in any way. It's as close as you can get to eating honey right from the hive without opening a hive of bees. A great treat spread on rolls or toast. Weight of the cut comb varies from 12-14 ounces. Some bruising may occur during shipping but will not harm the honey.
For long term storage, comb honey can be frozen to slow down or stop crystallization. Do not refrigerate.
All of our honey is wildflower honey collected from various sources from the woods and grasslands surrounding our apiaries located in Allen County, Ohio. Sources include wild raspberry, basswood, wild rose, several varieties of clover, catalpa, and more than a dozen other trees and wildflowers in our area. Depending on the weather and rainfall the blooms of each varies each year as does the color and subtle flavors of the honey. Typically we harvest our honey once per year in August.
