All-Heirloom Winter Squash Seed Collection
Winter squashes represent the generous bounty of the garden ~ we love how they are built to last for a long winter's good eating!
Here are our favorites, emphasizing some of the rare old heirlooms that need to be preserved! The first four squashes are Ark of Taste selections, too:
Amish Pie Pumpkin: perfect pie pumpkin, can grow quite large, keeps very well
Boston Marrow: Native American heirloom named to the Ark of Taste for its exceptionally flavorful orange flesh
Green Striped Cushaw: another Native American heirloom, very popular at market for its elegant coloring and crookneck shape
Italian Butternut Rogosa Violina Gioia: named for its violin shape -- sweet, all-purpose orange flesh.
Marina di Chioggia: intense blue-green Italian heirloom, turban-shaped, great for pies and baking.
Queensland Blue: beautiful Australian heirloom, golden-fleshed, mid-sized.
Rouge Vif d'Etampes
Seminole Pumpkin: small, wild squash from the Everglades, hardy, productive, and delicious.
Upper Ground Sweet Potato: endangered heirloom that needs reviving! Can thrive in harsh conditions, and a good keeper.
You may purchase the individual varieties, the four Ark of Taste squashes (Amish, Sibley, Boston Marrow, Green Striped Cushaw), or try our Winter Squash Mix, an assortment of over 25 seeds including at least four of these great squashes!
Minimum 10-20 seeds per pack.
