Award-Winning Sheep's Milk Cheese Collection

In 2009 our cheeses were recognized for their outstanding quality and flavor at the American Cheese Society's annual competition, where they won a number of awards. Our Award Winning collection features three of these cheeses:

Our Bossa won First Place in the washed rind sheep's milk category. Bossa has an edible rind which has been washed with brine while it ages. Washing the cheese develops the beautiful orange rind that gives this cheese its distinctive flavor and aroma. When fully ripe the cheese has a nutty, meaty, musky flavor. It often develops a dusting of wild blue mold as it ages which enhances the flavor.

Our Fresh cheeses, Plain and Nettle, both won third place in their categories in the competition. Our Fresh cheeses have a delicate spreadable curd with a distinctive tangy flavor in addition to the flavors of fresh milk and a little hint of sheepiness at the finish. The pure Nettle seasoning adds a lemony, grassy flavor to the cheese. The collection includes one 5 ounce wheel of Bossa and 4 ounce tubs of Fresh Plain and Nettle.
