Japanese Black Trifele Heirloom Tomato Seeds

80 - 85 days. Indeterminate. Heirloom from Russia. A fantastic "black" tomato that we prefer over Cherokee Purple or Black Krim. It has none of their cosmetic issues, staying perfect and crack free in all weather. It out produces them by a wide margin. And the flavor? Well, we think it is one of the tastiest tomatoes we have ever grown. It has that rich, sweet, deep flavor that black tomatoes are known for. Shaped like a bartlett pear, it was the star of our late summer and fall garden, producing loads of fruits when our other tomatoes had given up. And every one was perfect. The color is deep, rich, chocolate red with green shoulders. The shoulders stay firm, discouraging the fruitworm. The picture does not do it justice, as it is a deeper color and most fruits are larger. We wish we had tried this tomato years ago! Germinated at 80% on 1/2/12.
