Wild Honesuckle Vine Six 6 Starts Live Plants
Wild Honeysuckle has a strong, woody vine, useful for making wreaths, baskets, etc. The leaves are oblong and feel soft and velvety to the touch. It has a sweet smelling flower which attracts hummingbirds.
Many people regard it as invasive. This is true, but on my property it is giving poison oak a run for its money, and I say "THAT'S A VERY GOOD THING!"
I dig it up in the woods and put it in pots in my yard. It does very well, and looks beautiful too. I have been reading on the internet that the plant does well in the sun, but all of mine here grows in the shade, so I can not confirm this.
In the fall it has dangling clusters of bright red berries. Try as I might, I can not find any information regarding whether these berries are toxic or not. Keep plants away from children to be on the safe side.
I will send you six healthy shoots in a zip lock baggie. No soil. Give plenty of water at first. This time of year you should have no trouble getting them started. It will soon go dormant, but will be back in the spring!
