Marglobe Tomato Seed HEIRLOOOM

70-75 days Marglobe tomatoes are red, open-pollinated heirloom tomatoes. These were developed by the USDA in 1917 and introduced to growers in1925,and have been a reliable producer ever since. These plants will produce loads of round red great tasting tomatoes weighing between 6 and 8 ounces.

Marglobes are crack-resistant, and also with a good resistance to Verticillium and Fusarium wilt.

These have a great tomato taste, and are acidic enough to make great canning tomatoes. These can also be frozen whole with the skins on, for use year round. Just hold the frozen tomato under warm running water and they skin will slip right off! Start tomato plants indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost for your area. Transplant into a frost free garden after the seedlings have been hardened off

SAVE YOUR OWN SEED: Allow several of the nicest fruits (usually among the first produced) from the strongest healthiest plants to fully ripen on the vine. Pick the fruits and cut them in half, squeezing the seeds and gel into a bowl. Add a bit of water if needed, to ensure that all the seeds are covered by liquid. Allow this to ferment for a few days, then drain off the liquid and rinse thoroughly. Allow to dry completely in a single layer. Store in a cool dry place.

One pack contains minimum of 30 fresh viable seed.
