Beeswax is a natural wax produced by the honey bees.
Honey bees use the beeswax to build honeycomb cells in which they store nectar and then create honey. When the honey is complete the bees cap these cells with a beeswax cap for storage. When we extract the honey, we cut off the wax caps from each honeycomb cell with an uncapping knife. Afterwards we strain any remaining honey from the wax cappings before we melt them down and filter them through a cloth producing clean beautiful beeswax.
