Iowa~Indian White Freestone Native Peach Tree

Growing native peach trees from seed is an amazing experience!

9.19.2011: "I bought some Iowa peach seeds from you in April of 2008. This is the first year that I have had a crop of peaches. As I write, I have my first batch of peach cobbler in the oven. They are the best-tasting peaches that I have had this year. Thank you again for turning me on to such a yummy peach. I am keeping the seeds so I can pass them out to my friends." Tammie R.

Commonly called Iowa White or Indian White Freestone, these native heirloom peach trees are rare, beautiful & productive. For more info/photos write: ericka@catnipfarm.com & click "Visit our Listing" to see them blooming!

Force-germination/stratification is easy to do in the refrigerator in the spring, or direct seed in fall. Complete planting/care instructions included.

This native variety grew on Midwestern homesteads for generations. At farmers' market people remember these peaches from their grandparents' farms and are thrilled to discover them again. I propagate this amazing old variety because it's disappearing.

A unique peach, it doesn't self-pollinate so 2-4 trees can be planted 1 ft. apart & pruned as 1, or plant 10'-20' apart. Ideal for yards, habitat, museum orchards, farms ~ cold hardy, productive, a cloud of pink blossoms in spring and creamy, fine-textured, delicious fruit. Pick and eat fresh, can or bake ~ unbelievable flavor!

This is not "truck fruit"~you can't buy a peach this good at a store.
