Hardy Variegated Hostas
These hardy variegated hostas are field grown,without the use of synthetic fertilizers, or pesticides. They are naturally grown as a staple for the shade to semi-shade gardens. These variegated hostas offer a splash of color, with white and green leaves.They will sport a white flower in the summer. Hostas are very hardy, and will grow in most any soil, or light condition. They will grow best in a shaded to partly shaded area, but can be placed anywhere. They can grow to 1-2 feet in diameter, with minimal care.
The hosta can be dug in the spring, and early fall .They ar e shipped the same day. You will recieve a 3-5 inch wide plant, with 2-3 healthy starts. The hosta should be planted within a day or two of receipt. Place the hosta in a hole 3-4 inches deep, twice the size of the roots,about 1/2 -1 inch below the soil. Water well,and continue to do so until the plant has been established. Hardy hostas will return year after year with little care.
It is considered an easy care perennial, and it is slug proof! Hostas will add depth and color to your garden,and will spread even larger in the coming years.We have had the original hosta for at least fifteen years! It has been moved from New England, and is well established here in Ohio.It is one of the hardiest plants that we grow. A hosta will grow and thrive where other plants won't. They are great as a low growing addition to your garden, as well as to fill those empty spots where other plants have failed to thrive.
